Fans of retro cars will appreciate the computer game My Summer Car, the storyline of which involves repairing old and damaged cars. The player will have to repair a retro car, in other words, give the car a second life in the virtual world of a distant Finnish village from the 90s of the last century. Naturally, the reconstructed car will have to be tested on curved and bumpy country roads. Moreover, you will have to repair it almost with improvised means, because the necessary spare parts are delivered by mail, and postal deliveries, as you know, are not as fast as we would like.

The computer game My Summer Car can rightfully be called a “soulful game” for several reasons. Firstly, its developer Johannes Royola in no way claims to be a game of the “aerobatics” level, since the gamer will not find super-level graphics in the game. However, a true professional and amateur motorist will appreciate the physics of the game. According to the author of My Summer Car, his brainchild is the most believable simulator that truly demonstrates the importance of every part and element of the car. The game features a fairly complex car control system. With proper reconstruction and control, the car can reach speeds from 80 to 165 kilometers per hour. If the gamer wishes, he can “order” the engine, which will allow him to accelerate to 200 kilometers. However, according to the creator, on the country roads of the virtual world, not every user can handle control at such a speed.
Secondly, and it is rightfully fashionable to call this another advantage of this game, the storyline of My Summer Car develops not only around the engineering system of the car. Every movement or decision of the player is part of his virtual life, in which there is relaxation, temptations, entertainment and simply everyday chores and problems. For example, after drinking a bottle of beer, the main character will react more slowly to external circumstances of the virtual world. In addition, the hero must be watered, fed, dressed and… sent to the sauna to relax, since the sauna is an integral part of Finnish culture.
